Would someone please direct me to a reliable current list of mobile devices that work well with the DJI Go 4 app? Apparently my LG Stylo 3 phone has too much video lag but I cannot afford a newer version iPad either. Thanks.

Not that I am doubting your list but if I Google compatible devices, I get several sites showing a much longer lists in both the iOS and Android categories. As a new Spark owner, I am seeking the best and most reliable device but I need to do so by finding the least expensive device as my funds are limited.

Actually this might be a good thread for other owners using phones not on the list to post the devices they're using, then we can build a community-based list of devices that work properly and don't cost a fortune!

That is a great idea. I hope other will follow. Or maybe start a new thread asking what mobile device others use and get a comment on it's performance.

I think that an entirely new thread would be the way to go for this. I don't know of a way to rename this one. I have done a lot of research on this and have gotten a lot of input from others on the RC Groups Forum Spark thread. If you have not visited that thread then I highly recommend that you should. I just got a device  recommendation from one of the members of that thread who happens to be a DJi rep here in the US. His choice is the WiFi only version of the Apple iPad Mini 4. I just posted a quote from his message to me today. Here is a link to the current topics in that thread and you might want to go back about 5 or 6 pages to get the whole story so far.

If money is an issue and you really can't afford an iPhone or iPad, I think the Huawei Ascend XT2 is a good bet. Many people talked about how well it works and it can be less than US$100.

That is what I was going to get, but in the end I decided to suck it up and get an iPad air 2. The Spark clearly works better with iOS, there is no doubt about that. And there are some great third party apps like AutoPilot and FPV Camera that only work on iOS.

Thanks for the link to your thread. There is a lot of good information there. The Huawei Ascend XT2 looks to have really good specs. Do you know if there is any video lag with it? The LG Stylo 4 works perfectly.  Absolutely love the large screen it has, and the cpu speed is sweet.

I have a LG V40 Thin Q and it seems to fly my new Mavic pro platinum fine.  I haven't tried all the features yet as I'm still learning.  I did the most resent firmware update with no issues also.

For the folks who love smaller phones:

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini VE, running LineageOS 14.1 (=Android 7.1), together with OTG cable.
No noticable video lag, works perfectly, no crashes.

Anybody use a Samsung Galaxy PRO 8.4 with Android KitKat 4.4 ? Found one for $80, has good specs. Buying it for the Spark.

I am using the Samsung Galaxy Tab A T580 that is now running Android 8.1 Oreo and using the OTG connection.  Works well.

I just saw a 2019 current  list but don't remember the website. Also have you tried newegg.com they have refurbished apple devices

Any plans to support Google Pixel 3 XL on Mavic Pro?  I've tried it few times and have experienced some response with the application.  Some success meaning that I was able to control the device at some point of the flight, but in pretty much all the flights have lost connection with the device. In at least 2 cases the disconnect was so bad that the device returned home on its own.  Any recommendations on settings that I could try to fix this or beta version that I can try?

I was trying to connect Xiaomi Mi5 to My Spark’s RC using DJI go app. Going to phone setting & successfully connecting to RC’s WiFi. However, it did not recognize as being connected on Dji go app.
Tried may times to disconnect & reconnect , restart but nothing worked. Was there any other way ? Or it just not compatible with Mi5 ?

The Go is for before P4 drones, the Go4 since P4 (Spark is since!)

Essential phone doesn't work.  would have been nice to know before wasting my money on a mavic.
