It depends at default I believe it starts warning you at 30% of battery remaining and the critical battery warning is at 15%. Once it hits that 15% it gives you a 10 second decision to RTH or to cancel. So that you may fly back and land manully.

Once you hit critical battery you cannot cancel.

Simply was :
Default 30% low battery warning appear, 10 seconds later RTH appear but can be cancel. When battery level hit 10% will enter critical low battery state and the AC will force auto landing but this time cannot be cancel (but you can push the throttle up to navigate away.

Please correct me if wrong and I suspect that the critical low battery percentage was 15% or 10%

Thanks

critical battery landing is 10%, but its Always good to watch the batterybar which is dynamic. You can expect an earlier critical battery landing if you fly at high altitudes.

A solution is DON'T fly down to critical Battery Level, manage your flight time, plan your flight giving your aircraft the ability to RTH without hitting 'Critical Battery'.

Those are default, you can change low battery default to lower than 30% but you cannot change critical battery to lower than 10% you can increase critical battery default.

Regards flying in default critical battery, yes you can throttle up and move elevator to save aircraft from landing in unchartered waters or other situations.

I would suggest that the battery level be in your scan while flying. A successful flight takes SOME flight planning. If you are going to fly out of sight BE CAREFUL. If the battery level gets to 30% bring the bird at least within sight. My batteries seem to accelerate toward discharge when they get to 30%. If you get to 10% you have not planned well enough. You should be on the ground. If not you will be.

Strange that my friend's MA had entered the red zone (critical low battery) at 29% and auto landing above the sea. Luckily that he can managed to fly back by throttle up. He had submitted the flight record to DJI to check what's happened.

Thanks

Hi there, normally, it is recommended to set the low battery default to 30% (actually, you can set it between 15% to 50% via DJI GO4 app), at this time, if the drone is far away out of your sight, then you need to fly it back until it in your sight. When the battery reaches 10% percentage, the drone will be forced to landing automatically and can not be canceled. Take good care of your drone and have a good time on flying.

In Forced landing mode you can still use the controls! even throttle up so use this if you are close home but above water.....craft will maintain height and fly fdw to get dry feet, as long as you have some power % left!
