Clear and sharp images to my eyes. Any suggest about more colors, contrast, sharpness are subjective. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much astrofly

I could't agree more about individual settings or processing.

Curious what noise reduction software do you use?  I have only heard of Neat Video and plan on getting it ($99) in a few days.  Takes a very long time to encode using it but well worth it for the best results.

Well this is photos and I have Topaz Denoise which are rarely use now. I think the ACR is working like a charm, emphasize to 100% to see what is happening, same with sharpness.
I sometimes use PS smart sharpening in a separate layer so I can adjust the "transparancy" or strenght .

I have no software for Noise Reduction for footage unfortunately.

I find the noise  worst in the dark parts naturally (dark blue sky) and that is the same behavior as for photos but I can live with it.

It would be interesting to get some updates on your findings when you get Neat Video.
Rendering can be done over night so if the result is better or much better it can totally be worth it.

Good luck

Those are my exact settings as well.  Thank you for sharing your settings.  Much appreciated.

This is what this forum is about I guess, sharing good information so we can become better and happier

Are you happy with your result also or?

You are most welcome, and we all learn something everyday here I hope.

Nice pictures and good suggestion that the picture quality of the Mavic Pro has greatly improved. I think you're right.

Thank you Davidmartingraf.

It's not scientific, and it's nice to hear that others have the same feeling

I think the Mavic Pro shooting in Cinema 4K 4096x2160p is a little bit better in width of resolution than the Mavic Air shooting in UHD 4K 3840x2160p. The MP can do slow motion at 96fps and it can shoot UHD 4K 3840x2160p at 30fps 60mbs so the Cinema 4K aspect is a big difference nobody is drawing any notice, which is a big aspect.

That might be the case, since I have not used the Air I really can't compare.

How do you find the 96 FPS on the MP, because the 60 FPS and over that was useless since the limitation of the HW before and the adaption to the Googles.
Have that also improved?

You are absolutely right but as I wrote above I will definitely try 0 also have +1 one now.

You should try every setting in the drone and use what works for you and the capture you are looking to achieve. There is no universal 'one-for-all' setting in photography - have fun experimenting with the settings.

Check out FilmPoets video on the exact thing I am talking about with the noise at sharpness of +1.  He does a very good walkthrough of it.  I have even purchased his corrective LUT which really helps as well.  He is where I got the idea of using neat video and it makes a huge difference.

He starts talking about the noise issue around 3:10

I am mostly happy especially with the image quality at +1,-1,-1.  But as I showed I noticed that shooting at +1,-1,-1 I can notice the noise in videos especially where there are trees and water.  But I like the +1,-1,-1 better than 0,+1,+1 as the detail is better having that +1 sharpening.  So the tradeoff for having sharper image is a bit more noise.

thanks for that video very very informative,
I can see why you are interested in that software.

I will definitely try 0 -1 -1 in D-log if that removes noice I think it's easier to add sharpness.

No worries and yes that video is what explained to me what I was seeing in my videos.  I will be doing some testing when I get neat video and edit some of my existing videos that were shot in +1.

Keep me in the loop pls i'm really interested to see the difference, I have the 6D Canon also and that one don't need any Noise Reduction that is for sure.

The time will come, if you are lucky there will be a Mavic PA version X which outperform the ones we currently now about.

Have a nice continuation on the weekend.

I only owned my Mavic Pro for several weeks and the slow motion 1080p 96fps looks really awesome when I film using this mode. The slow motion is professional-looking, the figures are crisp and clear, and the color saturation looks very well blended.

Absolutely no secret at all AussieFlyer

Manual, ISO 100, D-Log +1 -1 -1 (Sharpness, Saturation and contrast) Can be the other way around for Sat and contrast but still the same values so.... I came from D-Cinelike with +1 0 0 which was OK also, just switched to D-Log to get a flatter file to try some stuff in Adobe Premiere.

The best part about droning I feel is actually watching videos of other people who have drones and are either flying them or talking about them. This is just my preference, but owning and flying a drone is fun but seeing the other experiences (especially when they do most of the hard work documenting their experiences) I feel is actually a bit more fun and exciting. Just my two cents, though.

AussieFlyer I see your point, I was going crazy in the beginning of this saga  trying to fix this and that and trying with a different setting here and there.

Now i'm pretty close I think there is some small adjustements needed more to yaw and speed things.
I also have to try going above 30 FPS since davidmartingraf says that its good.

So, the universally accepted advice of using +1 for sharpness is now out of date, and the new universally accepted advice is to use 0 for sharpness?  Dang, wish I had know this earlier, got my MP back in Feb and I have been doing it wrong the whole time.

But if you shoot only in RAW, does the sharpness setting really affect anything?
