I don't want to upgrade my Spark to a new drone until I have proved that the photographer isn't the limiting factor.  Proved that I have done all that can be done with the Spark.  Though, the lower prices on drones are very tempting.

i want one as well but i'm fighting the urge at the moment..waiting to see what the new mavic brings

Spark is the Gateway Drone you meant

The good side, apart from having a drone fleet, is that you cannot fritter your money away on something else like food, or utilities.  With a maxed out card you can spend no more, perhaps a blessing in disguise and of course a brand new drone to play, sorry use.

So far the only advantage, for my use, with the Mavic is battery life.
The Spark meets all my flight and photography needs (even though I wish it shot RAW) but the more I fly, the more I find battery life to be really limiting.
I average about 12 minutes per battery, which is a decent amount of time except when you have any travel time to get to your destination.
Not sure if it is possible, but it would be nice if DJI offered an extended battery for the Spark. Maybe something to extend flight time to 18 minutes.

For me i wanted it for the higher wind speed it can handle being in the UK we get windy days.
