so I went flying today and stopped next to some power cables to take off...I was super concetrated on not hitting them that I didn't pay attention to anything else...after I avoided those cables, I took the drown down (I was on top of the hill) to take some footage of the river...almost had a heart attack since I didn't notice there was a second set of power cables only 200m away and I missed them by centimetres...who the hell builds two sets of power cables next to each other...i got so close I actually saw the cable on my phone screen.
I definitely have more luck then brains

I didn't happen so luck is on your side. Made a nice reveal shot. haha
Also the camera makes objects appear closer than what they are... so you were most likely further away than visualized.

No!  The camera makes things look further away than they actually are.  It is a wide angle lens.  And for what it's worth, high voltage power lines usually come in sets of THREE (3-phase).

Yup What it also looks to be like a 230-315 kV powerline !

Would've cut the power for sure in some places hehe

If you would of hit them and the drone got caught by the prop it would of hung there to remind you
watch out for the powerlines.
That could of been a bad outcome.
Glad nothing happened.

There is always a risk that an unfortunate collision will occur, I'm surprised the cables didn't interfere with the drone given how close.  Knowing my luck I would of hit the cables and ended up in the water for good measure.

Not really.  That electric line is dual steel (possibly aluminum) cable and wouldn't even notice the drone running into it.

The line transmission has what we call a safety switch on and off, if any bizarre activity happens (such as a drone hitting a powerline) it will automatically turn off. It has to be triggered back on manually with a switch.

in french it's called a "sectionneur" lol, i work in the powerline field.

But you're not telling me what is going to trigger that switch.  There's no electrical (or even mechanical) disturbance on the line, so where it the trigger.  That line isn't going to even know it was hit, nor the equipment hooked to it.  Unless you can figure out a way to bridge the gap of many feet between conductors with your drone, there's nothing happening.
