Today I got permission from the Bulgarian police forces to fly near the gold plated Cathedral St. Alexander Nevsky in Sofia. I've took quite a lot of photos today but wanted to share the first with you guys!

I read where it is it is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in the world.

You did a great job taking the photo. I am looking forward to seeing the others you took.

It was a good idea getting permission from the police. Never know was the penalty would of been if you hadn't.
Fly safe and obey the laws are the rules to go by.

Thanks. Very much appreciated. This Cathedral was also in some good movies like Hitman (2007) for example. Few people know the movie is actually filmed in Bulgaria as the story line is saying it's in Russia. I see some nice ideas from this movie and will try to make more nice photos soon!. As for the law - I am not much of a rebel myself, but  we have very strict regulations here. Some guy crashed his home made drone in the national flag on top of the presidency building and......  you can imagine that is now backfiring on all the law abiding drone pilots. Police is extra careful with drones here and it's just because of the mistake of one person.
