We seem to, my favourite is this one, 4wd rolls off barge.

wow poor fella, try explaining that one to the insurance assessor lol It fell in the water all by itself, it had to be strong winds.

I wonder if they could have gotten the VW out with a Aircrane helicopter?  You guys have the S61 cranes out there?

Ok found this video of a recovery, doesn’t use helicopter,  it it is pretty cool.

Re S61, guess that is a skycrane, think we share ours with the United States as their fire season is the opposite time of the year to our. S61 would have been handy though!

I believe it was a backpacker with all his and friends belongings on board. Barge seemed to not close back fully.  Vehicle was never recovered. So cause never fully explained. Sad day for everyone involved.

There is a local in mi area where during low tide there is a fair amount of beach so those not in the know might and will drive onto that beach and hang for a while. There was one occasion however when a guy decided to camp out there and in the morning got a very wet surprise, at least here there were no waves as it was on the bay. Just to make the story a little more interesting he was in a fairly new Range Rover

Being at the bottom tip of Fraser Island and having the best beach drive in Australia, we get many 4WDrivers of many standards. But it is one of those amazing places to visit. The coloured sands here are really worth seeing.

one heck of a video, in NS it's against the law to have any sort of motorised vehicles on any of the beaches.
