I've been happy with my P3Pro, but know I should have a backup - and maybe something a bit better. I do some video (4k) and more stills. Being able to capture something a bit better in quality of stills would be terrific (without breaking the bank). The 12 mpxl chip in the P3Pro is good, not great. I'm gearing up for a new pruchase and hoping to have a more clear idea of what the differences are - and the costs. Any imput would be great (stills are important to me).

Thanks

P4P has the best camera hands down of all the phantoms.

Anything on the Mavic side of things compete with that?

I don't have a Mavic, so someone else can make that comparison.

That is wrong, the P4P and the P4A have the exact same camera. The P4P is the best drone out of the Phantom series, due to the additional OA sensors, but its camera is not better than the P4A, which is essentially the original P4 with the P4P's camera.

Nope, not even close. Both the Pro and Air are about equal to what your P3P is capable of, the P4A and P4P are vastly superior due to have a mechanical shutter and a massive size difference in the sensor itself.

Hey Bartone, thanks for your interests. For a better camera, I'll recommend P4A/P4P series as both share the same camera specs.
