I'm going to Malta in May, and I would like to know what are the laws about drone use in this country.
I saw that there is a permit tobuy, is it a must have ? I'm staying for less than a week.

Yes of course, but what about specific reglementation ? Do I need some document to have or something like this, like the permit I mentionned before ?

with actual laws in spain we need a  Identification plate As minimum in the drone

UAV Operator Qualification Requirements

Under 7kg:
Pilot qualification and aircraft certification as provided by an entity on behalf of the Civil Aviation Directorate.

Over 7kg:
Pilots must hold a certificate of competence which is acceptable to the Civil Aviation Directorate.
Flights outside the “Bubble” require a licence, certificate or permission in writing issued by the Civil Aviation Directorate.

not sure about this .. try dont break rules, fly in a zone that dont disturb the peace lol

Yes of course, but I don't want to pay 50$ for a license/permit if it's not necesssary ...

Drone Use - Malta

As a long term visitor to Malta (I lived there since I was 12 until I left home and sister still lives there some 30yrs later) I would add that generally the Maltese are very relaxed about most things but like anywhere you can get a jobsworth that will make live a living hell. What I will say is that finding somewhere in Malta that isn't populated is pretty tough and the only real opportunities will be on the West coast as that is pretty deserted most times. The other opportunity would be to hire a boat and shoot purely from the sea.

In short, you will need a permit but there is no mention of cost but I'd expect an admin fee.
