You guessed right.
My only issue is the over exposed sky.
Next time lower the exposure compensation a bit OR expose manually

The problem , at least for me, was that there was a 100% cloudy whitish sky with a relatively dark green area on the ground.
I had to decide what I wanted to see, so I locked the exposure manually but with a down angle of the cam.
Maybe I focused a bit to much on that, what was under the bird, but there was really not much else in the sky as this hazy brighness.

I love the wormhole! Reminds me of Inception, congrats!

You know, I decided for me that it is really not so important for a 100% cloudcover to have a lot of details in this clouds.
So I went (not only in Hkg) the easier way, for the ground(brightness).
Here is the skysight as a screenshot from some videosequenz on the way to the Spheres

Ah ok.
That is why.
No problem, just a personal preference (lower exposure)
