Super photos. The screengrab from you phone, did you fly 3.7kms in one flight?  I'd no idea that Spark was so capable!

Ok, aside the very nice picture and the real nice distance, the spark achieved, I'd like to ask: Was it a long distance test with a surprisingly good picture location, or why did you risk to fly 3.7 km over water to a location, you could have reached in under 2km distance with a different take off point?

How much juice left on landing? ;-)

He had almost 5 minutes of battery life left, look at the screenshot. He flew in sport mode.  There's a video on youtube of somebody flying out to the ocean in Greece for 4km and managed to get it back on shore.
Both are pretty risky examples I believe.

It is not the question, that he can reach the homepoint.
8000+m with one battery is possible.
Just: If the connection would go down, he is 'a bit' behind the auto RTH-max Speed (38kph?) reachable Distance in battery life. Before at 10% the critical battery landing would kick in.

I am just thinking it is a bit risky for the picture, that he could get from 2 km distance ;-)
The picture is assumingly 'colateral'

My guess: He is running out of interesting points/locations to fly in the area.

Yeah I flew it 3.7 km to go and 3.7 km back. Sparks can do awesome stuff m8.

It was a long distance test with a beautiful view  which I couldn’t miss the photo.
I know the risks but I also know the machine. It had great signal and great environment otherwise I would abort the trip.
That’s not my  first long distance flight  so I know the spark is fully capable to come back.
It  had around 5% juice left.

if I wanted to explore the location I would rent a boat to get me there so I would have plenty of juice to explore. My intention was just to get there and come back. Photos were an opportunity I didn’t miss.
