I don't understand where your problem is.
On one of your flights you almost reached the distance as it says in the specs:
On 5.8 max 2km in CE (no interference).

5.8 is no good in CE. I can't make it further than 500m max in wide open countryside.
In the US 5.8 is the way to go: I can travel further than the battery allows.

Just don't switch to 5.8 in CE.

In your second flight you made 1.21 miles (6241 feet), which agrees with the quoted 1.2 miles ideal condition range in Europe when using 5.8 Ghz:-

CE: 2.2 mi (3.5 km)

Not quite sure to be honest, prob is the same, at the top of DJI Go app screen are 2 signal strength meters, one for the HD (video quality strength) and one for the Radio between drone and RC, the 1st to falter is always the HD signal, so i think that video being tansmitted can only go so far compared to radio transmission, take TV masts i bet they are much more powerful than radio masts, thats a guess mind lol

I have to have a closer look at that with,, my specs  on as I have the Pro+ Controller hehe
