Known issue For Samsung Galaxy S5, Xiaomi Mi5 and LG G4 devices running Android 6+, connecting to Litchi with any aircraft model except the P3Standard/P34K/Spark will only work if Litchi is the only DJI-based app installed on the device (DJI Go, or other third party DJI apps must not be installed on the same device).
Copied this from the help page. Although your actual model is not mentioned the LG G4 is. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that I use exclusively for Litchi VR and I cannot have dji go installed as well as Litchi. Have you tried uninstalling DJI go?

UPDATE on my connection issue.
One thing I didn't try was to turn off the phone and restart.
It works now don't know why but is does.  I never shut my phone off always just plug it in to charge.

The same happened to me on latest update on Samsung S7.

Awesome.  Just assumed you would of tried that first I guess.  If something is funky on my phone that is always the first thing I do.  Glad to hear you got it working.

Have learned it the hard way. Have been in test group for app and it is sometimes the only way.
Force stopping the app clear cache and restart phone is best.

Apart from waypoints, Litchi is also a leaner - and I suspect a better coded - app. That's why it'll run on apple devices which GO 4 no longer can (due to processing load imposed by video decoding, leading to break-ups and drop-outs on CPUs less than, say, the A8X).

Litchi also has a VR mode for various goggles, which DJI GO 4 doesn't offer.

Huh?  I have no problems running Go4 or Litchi on any of my Apple products.  You can be an apple hater, but don't mislead.

Amazing attitude - I own nothing but Apple, and I know what I'm talking about. But very pleased you're seeing no issues with your iPad (although you don't appear to mention a model, and I'm wondering now if you responded without checking what CPU your device is running).

Glad you got it working. Sometimes we can't see the wood for the trees.
I like the idea of planning my flight. But I need to go to location so I can work out altitudes. I plan to fly out into the sea a bit then fly low and sweep up over a castle. So I  need my altitude right so I do not ditch or hit castle.

Success at last good job, I spent a week in Europe once trying to connect to WiFi , and the same problem as you, just refresh the phone, alls well and ends well. Good luck with Litchi.

LG has numerous issues with their software. We recommend resetting your device, then only install Litchi and it should work in theory.

One advice.
If you do not use Airdata com you should use it.
Then you have all your flight data in one place, both Go4 and Litchi.

I have both on the ipad mini and the android I only have the Litchi App.

Next time you connect the controller.   Turn on controller wait for connection then plug into android. You should then be given a choice of DGI GO 4 or Litchi.

Hola. He instalado litchi para mavic mini pero no se conecta y aparece en rojo. No tengo aplicaciones de dji trabajando en segundo plano y estoy registrado en litchi

My phantom 3standard won't connect to app at all.it connected once with no camera just black screen and I was able to fly LOS through battery (about 15 mins) then next battery won't connect at all.anyone else have this problem? I went to litchi from dji apps because they aren't working anymore.i know it's old but it's such a great drone.im also flying a mavic Air on litchi also and no problems but that's with cord not WiFi.any help would be appreciated
