Hi JJB, Great tool you offer here, and thanks a lot for sharing it with the community. I've just recently installed it, and did not go through all posts related to this tool, but is there a way to get to the connection strength/quality data - say; package loss, channel(hopping?), strength, bandwidth etc. ? I've seen some 'fuzzy' readouts on airdata website ('minor signal errors'), but would like to get some more basic stats/info on this.
Hi DJ-MA,
FRAP is made for a first-line analysis on your own flightrecords.
It uses a external conversion tool as the logs are encrypted. In the de-crypted CSV file a lot of data is to be found, i do not know if there is more in the log than is converted into CSV.
- Connection strength > GPS reception is in the CSV ; 0 to 5. (5 = max),
- Package loss > uhm, normal each tick of 0.1 second data is written so check that value in FRAP and see if 0.1 tick is missing,
- Channel hopping > NOT in the CSV file
- Bandwith > NOT in the CSV file.
- Minor signal errors > All (imo relevant) CSV errors/info is shown in FRAP (more that is showed in the GoApp/video replay app)
If you want more info, guess you need to look for read-out of DAT files.
cheers
JJB
