Hello everyone. Today I have a problem with the battery. Charged through the hub, a red light is on. The second indicator flashes on the battery(watch video).
How to solve a problem? Or only replace will help?

  • Yeah your battery is toast.  Replace time.  How many times has the battery been charged?  Did you ever drain it to less than 10%?

Nope.  Have DJI replace as I assume it is less than 6 months old?

    Where to apply?
In Russia, I probably can not do it .. I bought a Mavic Pro a year ago.

Then you are probably out of luck as the batteries are under warranty for 6 months or 200 charges whichever comes first.  Has that battery been sitting for a while?  Long periods in-between use?

The cells look way off, put it on drone and do not fly, leave it on and allow it to drain down to 5% and put it on charge, if that fails to balance out the cells I would not use it anymore.

A good idea. I'll try today as I get home)

So how long would you say it could of been sitting without use?  Yeah these kind of batteries need to be charged and discharged now and then or they go bad.

  • Only 6 charges in an 8 month period. I have the batteries set up to drain after 10 days, so yes all three have been treated the same but only one is giving issues.

I have had the drone eight months and have charged all three 6 times. In between uses they are set up to drain after 10 days. Every two months I will recharge everything in order to exercise the batteries and keep them working correctly. The other two batteries are fine.

Unfortunately you have a out of balance condition in this battery based on how you have been storing it. You might try to run the battery down to about 5% let it sit for 1-2 hours and then charge it fully. Sometimes the DJI intelligent battery circuit will correct the out of balance condition and reset. If you do not get the battery to stabilize, contact DJI support for a replacement (sounds like it is out of warranty though)  Tip: set your battery discharge to 5 days or less if you do not plan on using them. Less stress on the battery at full charge.

Also, you can use your battery to charge up other devices that will help to discharge them (exercise them). I put the link for the Mavic Pro battery Power Bank

    https://store.dji.com/product/mavic-battery-to-power-bank-adaptor
Because you do not fly very often, it would be better to charge the batteries to about 50 - 60% for storage instead of 100%  Keeping these batteries at 100% is very hard on them including shortening the life.

The battery is unfortunately defective. I suggest the following  to maximise battery lifespan - Set the battery drain to 3 days rather than 10 if you want to use the belt in discharger. Keeping the batteries stored fully charged will cause them to deteriorate and shorten their lifespan. My advice would be to only keep a 50% charge at any time and drain the battery down if they will not be used within a couple of days. The best way to do this is with a short flight or a usb power bank adapter. If unused for 2-3 months charge and store as described previously. Hope this helps.

Weather conditions in Russia are complex.

I thought Russia had near perfect weather!
Cause we were told by our CIA, that Russians controlled the Weather.
    (Just kidding)

Glad to know that others drone flying suffers from 'complex' weather conditions.  Like wind, rain, and more wind.

How do you set the battery discharge days?

You can set it on the DJI Go App. After enter device, tap the 3 dots on the top right of the screen and scroll down to the battery/arrow icon. School down on that page to 'Time to discharge' and select b between 1 and 10 days. I have mine set to 1 day just in case I forget to manually discharge.

If you had tried doing the charging cycle and the issue persists, since the battery expired the warranty period (6 months), you might need to change another battery, put this battery into the battery recycling bins.
