I went to fly today just around the house to see how the new update acted and I started to here a clicking.
so I started checking and sure enough there was a split in the prop tip. It was so small just enough to notice it.
Replaced all four props and trashed the old ones for $9.00 vs $700.00 no brainer.
What a difference.

That one prop clearly needed to be replaced but not necessarily the three others if they showed no damage.

Good thing you were in the right place at the right time. Changing props between flights saves on the overall wear and tear of the craft, it is always a good idea. If you fly your drone near objects such as grass and trees, little accumulations over time can suddenly can create minor breaks and other damages.

I always check my props before and after every flight - just one pings off and yep, you'll probably lose the drone.

You are right right place right time.
I always hover in front of me and knowing the sound of your machine helps.
This was a sound I never heard before.
I got  five months out of a set, not to bad I guess.

Leading edges started showing lot of wear and the crack was hidden so I changed them all.

If that was the case you definitely did the right thing. New props are really not expensive and better to be on the safe side!

I changed my prop with few minor scratch. It should work without big problem just a bit noisy and vibration. But better be save.

One of the good habits for a pilot. Always be cautious and keep safe flying.

Have a friend who is Vet for large animals?
They sometimes have hand-held low-power X-ray devices, with digital detector and screen.
Few beers might get that friend to X-ray your drone blades.  Or perhaps a trade of drone work for X-rays.

Same thing with my props (they were used, as my Mavic Pro was used).
So I replaced it.
