This is 1600 ISO at D-Cinelike ProRes on the X7. This is way too noisy to work with and clients are correctly saying this in unacceptable.
The original X7 firmware did not have this noise problem, and the H264 is more or less ok.
At the moment I cannot offer filming service in ProRes at night, only H264.
I would appreciate if this would be a high priority to fix in the next firmware with the ProRes RAW.

I am hoping that when the next firmware with the ProRes RAW comes out this problem will be fixed.
I know it can be fixed because the the first firmware of the X7 did not have this problem.

I've recently shot some Prores D-Log for a client and they're no happy with the noise.

The RAW looks fine.

The FW version I'm using forces me to shoot a 500iso when shooting D-Log. X5S.

Any ideas?

The ProRes 422HQ/4444XQ are generated from sensor data without applying any noise reduction in order to avoid damaging the image data and keep as much information as possible for post-production. This behavior has not changed since the release of X7. Your screenshots have the expected noise level.

I am asking for the Engineers to look at the footage I sent to see the problem and see if we can get a cleaner picture like we had in the first firmware of the X7.

This is a serious problem many X7 users are experiencing.
