Nice first video. To correct the tilted horizon issue, perform an IMU calibration from the DJI app with the P3 sitting on a perfectly level solid surface (but not over concrete with rebar in it), then perform an automatic gimbal calibration and a compass calibration. You should perform the IMU calibration with a freshly charged battery and with the P3 cooled down for at least 15 minutes from its last flight; better to do this with a cold bird before first flight of the day. It might take 5-10 minutes to complete. Do NOT touch the P3 during the calibration and make sure to minimize any floor vibrations (from kids running, spouse vacuuming carpet in next room, etc.). I perform my IMU calibrations on a level piece of floor tile in my family room. Should only need to do this once after unboxing and only again if IMU errors are reported or drifting is noted during hover or tilted horizon is noted in videos. Note: sometimes even after performing IMU calibration and gimbal calibration, I note that on first powering on my P3 the camera has a slight tilt to it. This slowly corrects itself over the next two minutes as GPS lock is established and P3 warms up. |
