I did in fact open a warranty claim, however DJI said that they would not replace my Mavic Air under warranty because it's the pilot's fault for not "paying attention to the battery percentage" during flight. I tried to tell them that my battery level even turned back in the green and it no longer showed low battery on the way back (shown in the screen recording I managed to start during the incident) and how I still couldn't cancel the auto landing, but they believe that their products are perfect and that everything comes down to who's flying their product at the time of the incident (which is not the case whatsoever).
They gave me data that showed that the flight expectancy was 1-2 minutes for the whole flight, and it would go back and forth constantly between 1:00 and 2:00 (this is also shown in my screen recording). The battery had a full charge, which also shows that the battery definitely has something going on. DJI Support won't listen no matter how much data or info I provide them.
woooow... this is the sorta case needs legal attention. you need to get in touch with an attorney give him or her this case, logs and all communications..
they basically admitted to their fault by saying the battery at full has at best 2 minutes of charge which isnt even an accurate reading, but denying you and blaming you for still flying it.. you as a pilot know your aircraft best, you were aware of how to fly and what all alerts mean, and at no point did the app indicate there was a serious error or malfunction with the battery, everything appeared functional from your end.. this isnt pilot error, this is a malfunction beyond your control, not the first time you have flown it.
this is on the level of a real manned aircraft having a fuel problem and no error anywhere to help them other than range left which wasnt even accurate, and then getting blamed for the fuel issue and crash after you recovered things....
DJI this is not how things work, there are laws protecting us that are in place when things are beyond our control and are a malfunction on your part.. this is violating laws in both the EU and the US as well as canada..
