So today we took a trip back up into the hills behind our house, with variable weather and changing wind states we managed to get a little bit of footage undertaken as a test for a forthcoming project. Shot with a Mavic Pro ND 16 Polarpro 1/80 ISO 100. Shot as shown, minor editing. Hope you like.

Thanks buddy, really appreciate your comments greatly. I'm happy Ireland is starting to come alive with growth on the trees and a wide diversity of colour to show Ireland as it really is. So many places to go and film. Spring is here at last, thank god.

Thanks Mate, we are spoilt here for locations aren't we, we don't have to go far to find somewhere, from North to South it's on our doorstep.

Starting to get the hang of the Mavic Pro, still a way to go, for sure, but learn something new everyday thanks to the knowledge of many forum members. But isn't that what the forum is all about, learning techniques, settings and how these things work and why they work. Really enjoying flying filming and slowly getting my head around editing video.

Thank you, we've just had 9 months of rain, so looking forward to just a little bit of heat. Not that it will be anywhere near as hot as Australia, so envy works both ways lol.  Delighted you enjoyed the video.

Thanks mate, yes we are fortunate enough to have locations in every direct from us. 5 minutes and we are in the hills and 5 more minutes into the mountains and 15 minute drive at the beach.

Thanks Mrs, was a good outing even if you did forget my glasses and we had to go back and get them, after you left them cough cough.  I know I know I had a senior citizen moment, got the aircraft out went to set it up opps back in the car and home to pick them up. Ahhh well it was a lovely drive lol

It is mate - I find 2.7K works best on the MPP with +1 sharpness.

I'm sure I read somebody uses a bit of software that compresses 4k down for major fast upload, who or what software I forgot who said it....... damn lol

Yeah, I forgot about the slow uploading of vids LOL I always record 4K and 2.7K for my personal use but as you know I don't post vid's and after yesterday's 3 hours uploading a one-minute video it's staying that way LOL I just don't have the time to edit and wait around and it doesn't interest me anymore than having to degrade the resolution of the image quality just so others can see and criticise it. Nah, I'll stick to recording in 4K and enjoy watching my 4K videos in 4K after waiting 2 minutes to import the file from my SD card to the Mac - job done. I would rather spend my spare time flying mate

I know right, I almost lost the plot first time I did a video, running round the house whooping and hollering, swearing like a trooper 'I'll be a year older before this f******* thing uploads'  until she chipped in 'calm down monkey boy, let me show you how'  so the system now is edit on one machine and upload using her settings on another to enable us to get on with other stuff.  

I am hoping that one of these days I obtain your talents, the countryside video is excellent

Thank you my friend, appreciated. I still have much to learn with video cinematography and many others here outshine my meagre efforts, but I am happy to offer my assistance to anybody.  Methodical set up gets me by to a degree.

The only advice I would give, is think through every shot before you try it. That is what I do. Which way is the wind coming from, what obstacles are in the flying zone, what hazards are present (other than myself) Direction of the sun in relationship to the aircraft for exposure and for really important shots I would do a trial run just to get the flying down right and establish if anything will prevent filming.
