Hi,

after last update fw i have problem with satellites in the same locations that im flying. Before update after turn on mavic air i had 12 satellites on the ground after 30 seconds. After update i have to wait 3 minutes to get 8 satellites for "ready to fly". Have someone same problem as me?

Hi, please restart the drone and try to fly more times to see if it improve, thanks!

Was this at the same location as before or somewhere else? At new locations it can take longer.

yes, same location

If the area not open enough the drone may difficult to get enough GPS signal and took longer time. Even you stand above MA can block the GPS signal.

im flying in this location every week, same spot and same starting procedure i will test it today and post results here

Perhaps.  
But why is he only getting 8 Satellites after firmware update, when he was originally getting 12 Satellites?

Seems like it would be worth backing out of latest firmware and reverting to what ever version of firmware he was running before.  Then see if slow GPS and missing satellite problem continues.

Happened to me but after a while it locks on fast now

Keep in mind that clouds will also affect  GPS connections.

FYI the locality has little to do with it unless it is always a bad locality where it is difficult to get satellites.

If you have an App on you mobile device you will see that the GPS Constellation changes throughout the day.  Theoretically this should not happen but it does.

Do a test with your mobile device`s GPS app that shows the distribution of satellites and specifically look for "accuracy" or "error".  If that takes along time to get down to about 2 -3 meters then the constellation is bad and the craft will have a problem to acquire a fix.

In the next 5 pictures look at how the error decreases.  This was done inside my home which means that one should get a much better (smaller) error outside.

FYI I have worked with GPS as part of my job as an exploration geologist virtually everyday.  Thus hopefully I know what I`m talking about.

The important numbers as the "Available" (Sats) and the "Used" (Fix) and obviously the "Error".

12/16 means that the device can "SEE" 16 satellites but is "USING" only 12 satellites to fix its position.

I can say that I fly from the same area most of the time and I used to have 12 sats locked in less than a minute, now I have 8 and takes about 5 minutes to get to 10. In fact I have to get my air up in the air before i can fly it.
