I was just wondering, considering these things are so expensive. Isn't there some sort of security feature in case of theft? Similar to a mobile phone.

Some kind of GPS mini (light) Tracker accessed by an App would be the way to go.

Yep. I'm surprised there's no pin or similar. Considering you have to register the Aircraft, I thought that there would be something to prevent theft/misuse/loss etc

There’s a product called Tile that might be what you’re looking for. Not sure if it’s GPS enabled though.

If someone steals just your ac, all they have to do is buy, steal a remote and link them, and up and away they go.

Including a pin # would be nice, whenever you are about to take off. Even to avoid your little ones sneaking the drone out while you are at work

Nah, it would not work. Some US owners would complain that DJI is infringing their 'rights' and 'freedom' by making them enter a pin number every time they fly.

I agree a user entered pin/password to unlock should be implemented, this has been suggested several times, a few finds:

The ones that don't care simply could leave it blank to disable the feature.

Add my vote for this too please. having just been burgled it would give me great satisfaction to think that others could not use the product of their illegal activity. Thankfully they did not get in the house so mine are safe.
