Did you try to calibrate the gimbal? Please tell me the model of your mobile device. I would recommend you change a mobile for check. If the problem remains, please shoot a video of the situation for further check. Thanks for your support.

I balanced several times with different devices (SAMSUNG S7 and NOTE 8) you can see the pictures.
When I try to slide the main handle to left or right the gimbal makes a rotation of the device ( so the smartphone goes in portrait position) instead of remain in landscape position. You can see also the error
