Enjoyed your video.
I was surprised that you got that close to a Nuclear Generating plant until I realized it must of been decommissioned.
We have one here in AZ and getting with-in a mile of it could get you shot. Especially with a Drone.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, its been decommissioned for several decades now. The local power company is using some of the land for solar power. The reactors are long gone, but cooling towers are probably going to be a permanent fixture in the Sacramento Valley.

Very nice video. You were not able or allowed to look into the reactor chimney's? Just wondering.

Well the cooling towers are about 430 feet. I try to fly at a maximum 400 feet. I must admit it would have been nice to get the towers from above. Actually if I recall this was my first flight outside with the MA due to the fact that I forgot the SD card at home.   Thank goodness for on-board memory.

Oh wow, I did not know the towers are that high. And a free tip, always carry an extra SD card in your carrying case. ;-)

Nice video!
I only noted some cuts are 'off beat' (like that one on 0:43, that is a little too late)
The music screems for 'on beat cuts'

I agree it absolutely does. One of these days I'll get off my duff and use some real editing software lol. Thank you for the observation, it is much appreciated.

So here is where i would break the 400 ft ceiling...  The FAA rules state " The maximum allowable altitude is 400 feet above the ground, higher if your drone remains within 400 feet of a structure (in which case you may not fly higher than 400 feet above the top of that structure). "  (source: https://www.faa.gov/uas/faqs/)

So if the structure is 430, as long as you are within 400ft of the structure, your max altitude is 830.

Now get back out there and get in those chimneys!!
and don't forget your SD cards.

no problem at all.   Before i got my drone, I was planning to fly it in Atlanta,  around the Westin building and the new Mercedes staduim.  With the Westin being 883 at it's peak, and the 400' ceiling i was a little disappointed.  and then I found that little gem.  My trip to ATL is in July.  can't wait to get up and around those buildings.
