Well  it was a nice enough day for a swim but..  
Not often I get in open space for some low flight without the risk of the occasional treetop. This obstacle warning saved the day!

Boy were you lucky.
Glad to see that it worked.
The drone and that stick had to lined up perfect for the obstacle detection to kick in.
A few inches ether way and you would probably be showing us a video crash.

No kidding! Watching the vid it’s like I was aiming for it..  a little slower on the low stuff out there next time, or just stay high. I was definitely surprised and took a moment to recompose  lol

Glad to know the drone is all good, but the pilot still should fly cautiously and pay attention to the obstacle especially the small the fine objects.

Really lucky, glad you didn't crash.

agreed. i could see the drone but not the 'tree' from vlos. it blended in quite naturally
