Where and how can I try the flight simulator?

You need to have the drone and controller powered up and connected to the DJO Go software. The simulator function can then be started on the DJI Go app.

Once you turn on the RC drone and app, tap the Graduation Cap on the main page of the Go app.

It is rather hidden. Like in a DVD movie, Easter Egg. ;-)

YEP! It needs a nice user interface that will allow you to build 3D landscapes that mimic actual places you're going to fly. That would give me something to do in the winter months when I'm not flying because of weather, temperature, and the boring leafless trees.

Too bad the DJI onboard flight SIM is a bit lacklustre.

Buy a regular drone that doesn't hover on demand. ;-)
Then you will actually have to learn how to fly.

We more or less just direct the flight forward...
