Just dropped the controller about 4 feet up and the antenna snapped off. I have not tried flying the drone after it broke, since I do not want it to affect range or give-out mid-flight.

Anyone know if it will operate the same with distance?

Also, if gluing it with gorilla glue will be an okay fix? Not looking to spend money for a new antenna since it's just the standard version.

No, sir, you should not fly with that controler until you correctly fix the antenna.  In fact, you should not turn it on at all.  You risk burning out the transmitter.

Looks like you need to do an antenna mod.  Look at it as a good thing.  Do a little research and look at it as a fun adventure with lots of good times ahead.
