What exactly is a city?

In my opinion, a city is a maze of buildings punctuated by landmarks intertwined with a web of roads and bridges heaving with traffic and crowds of people seeking prosperity and entertainment.  

What is your favorite city and what is your impression of it?

Please show us why you love this city? What you think makes it unique? What best captures its essence?

Another very nice contest

I actually have a favorite city: Rotterdam
And specifically the harbor.
Unfortunately most of it is NFZ, but I managed to make 2 nice timelapses from the highest office in Rotterdam to get that 'drone feeling'.





Both camera's that I used and the tripods were 'non DJI' so unfortunately I can't enter with these.

Rotterdam is Europe's largest port. Hope that I can visit there in one day.

I guy I know has that. He has been waiting for the paperwork to be done since January. By the time it's done, the spark will be so old it will not be supported anymore.

WATERFALL GARDEN ROME this garden is very special for me, because when I was boy I spent nice mornings when I skipped school.
Recently they have also restored these fountains that I like a lot.

A waterfall garden in Rome that has been closed for 56 years reopened to the public (2017). Giardino delle Cascate (Garden of the Waterfalls) in EUR, a southwestern suburb of Rome, first opened in 1961.
It was designed by architect Raffaele de Vico and closed shortly after it opened, and was only used occasionally as a film set.

Situated on the EUR lake, the garden has water jets, short waterfalls, natural stones and plants, and flowers.
These features allow for the oxygenation of the lake as well as aesthetic beauty

When people see Singapore, they think futuristic buildings and skyscrapers. But there are also buildings of the old that has shaped Singapore to be what it is today.
This picture shows the old district of Chinatown in the foreground, backdropped by the new, modern buildings. Chinatown is reputed as a tourist destination in Singapore, but it also serves as home to many of the older generation, the pioneers of the nation. If you look beyond the rows of shops selling souvenirs and catering to tourists, you'll find character. This is one of my favourite places in my homeland
