they both use the same thread size as the stock 15mm, so 1 set of filters will do all of them

i use the polarpro filter set, unfortunately they cost a few euro alrite, but theyre good filters.

i got the 3 pack because i didnt have the money at the time, but im sorry i didnt get the 6 pack.

there are other options out there, just search for 46mm filters and if they turn out to be a bit heavy, balance the gimbal with a small coin stuck to the back of the camera with blutac.

I would recommend some Formatt Hitech Firecrest Superslim filters...

Most people talk about the 3-piece, or 6-piece Polar Pro set bundles... but I thought I'd do some research before buying.
After digging through photography forums, many people seem to think that the colour from the Formatt Hitech filters is much more neutral than the Polar Pro ones.

They might seem expensive if you try amazon, but I came across https://www.bhphotovideo.com/ which sold them for about 1/3rd of the price (compared to amazon). Even taking into account import duty to the UK... the savings were enormous.

I've only tried them a few times for video mainly, and I'm liking them so far.
I bought the equivalent of ND8, ND16, ND32, so that covers you for cloudy, partly cloudy, and bright sunlight.

Breakthrough X4 here.  46mm diameter in 3 stops ND, and another one in 6 stops ND.

Then cut out one of the Lee color correction green ones to compensate for the awful magenta tint and place behind the above when using manual white balance with the X5S camera since DJI has no color tint control.

Hi guys !
thanks for your replies !

1) What would you prefer: 1 x variable ND filter or several solid ND Filters?
2) Do I need to use balancing ring for X5S if I use filter or not?
2) I also want to use Oly 45mm (37diam), can I use the same filters with an adaptater (37 to 46mm) and keep a good balance or do I need to purchase others 37mm filters?

thanks for help !! =)

where do you place the green filter? between X5S and lens or between lens and filter?
thanks

I put the green filter behind the ND as mentioned above.  Not in the body of the X camera.

I don't care for variable ND as it is a couple of polarizers (heavier too) which can cause issues with an overly blue sky in some areas, and panning around and it goes to a lighter blue sky.  Too much trouble to fix in post.  Also, some lead to a darker X-shaped pattern or rainbow-like color casts if the setup is wrong.  Best to go individual ND, imho, unless over water and maybe just a polarizer there.

Balancing is trial-and-error depending on filter weight and the camera and lens setup.  Mine rotates a bit to one side so I Velcro a penny on the back of the camera off to the side a bit to stop the roll of the gimbal.  It's an individual thing with no set specific so trial-and-error it is with whatever your setup becomes.  My setup may differ from yours with same lens, camera, and filter as DJI uses a lot of blue and clear heat paste inside the camera so weight varies between them and whomever squirted the paste and how much to wherever inside it.

Smaller filter is better due to wind too.  I often fly without the hood too for same reason.   There are some hoods on the web that are slotted for wind if you search eBay, etc.
