Hi. I have an old ipad 2 mini. Is it powerful enough for dj go 4 app? And can i use more then one apple device with my Spark? Meaning connect iphone 8 one day and connect ipad mini 2 the next?

You can use a million phones if you like, just of course not at the same time. My girlfriend has an iphone 6, and I have a pixel 2, and the app works great in both devices. Haven't tried with an ipad, but I guess it will work ok!

i have an iPad Mini 2 on ios 11.4 developer beta 6 right now.   it is powerful enough it seems, but not perfect, it is only same A7 CPU/GPU found in the iPhone 5S from 2013.  so bit slower to load in initially, and sometimes get a very brief frame pause, like a dropped frame or two in live view, but nothing too bad shouldn't mess you up too much.  

it really holds its own specially considering what is driving the device is a 5 year old (half a decade old) CPU/GPU combo from an iPhone 5S..

a better in my option is the iPad mini 4 because the laminated display makes it a bit easier to see (and every bit helps n bright outdoor light) and its rocking a slightly faster A8 CPU/GPU combo.  which isnt hugely faster than the A7 at all, but doesnt hurt having a bit of an edge.

Before I got my Spark I had an Mini 2 laying around, but now I use it dedicated for my Spark. Really works well for me and fits perfectly between the arms of the RC, so actually no bracket is really needed.

Been using old iPad mini 2 dedicated to Spark for several months now. No problems of any kind. Never had a frame pause (would usually be caused by weak AC to RC signal at long distance).

are you still on ios 10?  because back on ios 10 with my mini 2 it was fantastically silky smooth and snappy.  

ios 11 has been dragging my mini 2 down a lot.  ios 11 was really bad before ios 11.3 for my dji go 4 app.   ios 11.4 beta 5 and beta 6 has cured my frame drop and frame stutter issue in the dji go 4 app.

Yeah - 10.0.2. The only reason to update would be to get the built-in screen recorder, but since it otherwise works so well, I have not updated.

If you use IPad mini 2 to fly your drone, please ensure that you clean up the cache files and run only go 4 during flight. I would recommend you leave enough storage for app as the sphere photo will take up a large storage of device. Please keep us updated, if you find any problem with our app.
