500m away and flying backwards into a tree! I managed to fly forward out of truble and returnd home safely.

Just one question.  Why the heck would you be  flying it backwards like that not being able to see rear obstacles?  Just asking for trouble.  Hopefully you learn from this.

Always stay away from the obstacles especially the fine ones and be cautious while flying.

Fly backward or sideways on FPV only is dangerous. Unless you can ensure nothing behind and around. I only fly backward when I can see the aircraft or 100% sure nothing there.

I was amazed that you escaped unscathed.
I was more surprised when you shot forward again over the same course without checking around. I admire your, "if it went in ok, it will go out ok," optimism.
