Aloha fans16,
It really gets down to what you want to do with your new bird. All DJI products are reliable beyond any other products on the market. Some people complain but they are the exception.
Look at the SPECs for the cameras to see if they have what you want. The Air has a better bitrate and can record 1080p at 120 frames per second and that makes for great slow motion. But the Live View for the Air is limited to 720p at 30 frames per second and the Pro will allow 1080p, but both will work with goggles although the Pro can use OcuSync for wireless a connection. Really look at the SPECs though for the cameras.
As for sensors, the Air has a front, back and down sensor suite. The Pro only has front and down sensors. The Air folds up smaller than the Pro and is generally more compact. The Air can also fly with hand signals and is designed to fly indoors. But, the Pro is more robust and does have slightly more options in general because it is slightly larger.
The Pro gets much better distance and time in the air. But you really need to fly VLOS, Visual Line Of Sight. There are a lot of reviews on YouTube comparing the two (and sometimes others), so you are encouraged to watch a number of them.
So really neither one is better, it is just that one or the other is better for you.
