Took the Mavic Air for a walk in a forest nearby and made a video about it.

Is solid as a rock this drone!
*Edit* Turns out it was my fault all along. It did RTH and I usually have RTH setting for Hover, but not this time. Sorry.

awesome video.  Editing skills are very nice.  I probably watched that tree split 4 times before going on to the rest of the video.

Yeah great video, but did it go to RTH , or was there obstacles below that caused VPs to raise aircraft.

Some white knuckle flying there!  Did you have to turn off collision avoidance to make it through the trees?

I was landing due to low battery. So I had my hand under it to handcatch it. Then it stayed there ready to land. Suddenly it took off, up up, into the branches and down in some soft grass.

I see from the flightrecord now that it did RTH. I always put return to home to hover... Maybe it got reset and it was my fault afterall... Havent turned on the drone to check.  but I bet the RTH settings says go up 30 meters and not hover as it should..

You can only put RTH to hover on loss of radio signal,  if no signal has been lost and low battery has happened then normal RTH will take place, you cannot set RTH low battery to hover, although many believe you can.

That hover is no good to you if Aircraft goes to RTH on low battery.

When Im in a forest like this im right beside it and it is ok. Not good when it does like it did here. When im flying in open "normal" I have it to climb to 30 meters and come back.

You are very right. Forgot about that. Guess it fid RTH while I was landing and I didnt see the timer run out.

Ye. Sitting on a bar in a popular street. And the a Mavaic Pro arrived over us. Thought the rules were strict in Poland. Police just smiled and laughed when they saw it. If I had known that I would have brought the Air hehe
