How actually saved oofline map is activated in CS? I went to the field, connected CS to smartphone, downloaded and saved it as Region1.
Then second day i arrived to same place with wifi off on CS and when i entered MA the map rectangular was black. Should i simply wait until the CS own GPS will be fixed or there is some other way?

I'm not 100procent sure but today i made flights at location that i downloaded at home with the offline maps utility, CS and RC were first connected and map rectangular was black, i had to restart the AC to get the map visual. So i think AC gps is needed for that.

Also how do you setup hotspot with cell phone to share cell phone data?  Again a tutorial?

Hi, you mean connect the CS to a cellphone hotspot, right? Sorry to let you know that is no tutorial about it. If you encounter any difficulties, please feel free to let us know, we're glad to help you.

Same here. Several maps downloaded but none of them will show up. Followed the instructions by Mad arc in his YouTube video to no avail. I'm also having problems to connect the CS to my drone. It's more like a lottery. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes it won't connect. The same when I'm using personal hotspot, since downloaded maps won't show, the map will appear but getting the drone connected is nearly impossible. Had a important job the other day. Had to use my iPad instead of the CS because it wouldn't connect. Such a pity because the 2000 nits are a joy to look at (when it works!)

The user guide is basically of little value, other than giving good pics of the various buttons on the CS.  The next two are about mounting the Display to a controller.  So neither are helpful to this question.    However the update on CS Go4 app now has a button for loading a map for offline use.

That leaves how to setup a hotspot to receive data from my phone.

Good news, with latest upgrade to CS and associated Go4 app, I was able to load maps for offline use.
