I`ve just got a phantom 3 standard and have heard that i can`t use it with my iphone 8 ,is this true and are there plans to sort it?

Have you tried it yet?  Not everything you hear may be true.

Yes 11.3 but i`ve noticed an 11.4 available

I'm using 11.4 on my 8+ with no apparent issues.

As of the moment, iPhone 8 is not yet included in the list of tested and recommended devices for Phantom 3 Standard. Please see the image below for reference.

On android it´s version 3.1.34 or newer and on iOS  it´s the same.  I´m updating the iOS too.

In addition to #8, I suggest that you update the iOS firmware version of your iPhone 8. It does not mean that it is not included in the tested and recommended devices, it won't work. Let us know the result once you use your iPhone8.
