After flying 1,400 kilometres in nine countries with my Mavic Pro with relatively few issues, I decided it was about time to upgrade to the Mavic Pro Platinum.
After the usual setup of firmware update, IMU calibration, gimbal calibration and compass calibration, I took it for a quick test flight.
I immediately noticed frequent jello/vibrations in the video.
I compared the gimbal of my old Mavic Pro with my new Platinum and the new one didn't feel as firm. As if the rubber in the gimbal vibration absorbing board wasn't as strong.
This is my sixth DJI drone and its the first time I've experienced jello video.
You can always do a camera reset but I would first try recording some video from the drone using a micro SD card. This issue may be caused only when watching the footage from your smartphone, while there may be good recorded video on the SD card of the MPP?
I had the same problem with my MP out of the box. Try the resets as advised as a move before contacting DJI if the problem persists. The camera and gimbal assembly were replaced by DJI solving the problem in my case.
Is 'it' on the real footage as well?

If so:
Check the little black board the gimbal connects to for strange behavior.
Reset gimbal
Check with other props.
Otherwise: back to the shop for warranty claim.
Thanks for everyones help. I took it to DJI repair. They first said there was nothing wrong and sent me a video from the drone in their workshop. I pointed out that the drone being stationary (and props not running etc.) wasn't a very good way of evaluating this.
They reluctantly agreed then said they would fly the drone to reassess it. A month later they said they flew the drone and saw no issues.
I was very skeptical so asked if they could at least replace the vibration absorption plate. They said I would have to pay for this, despite it being a brand new drone. I reluctantly agreed since I didn't really have any other option.
I have since gotten the drone back, and unfortunately it is no better. I get constant 'Gimbal Vibration Abnormal' message and jello video, even when just hovering:
Any ideas how I can fix this? DJI repair doesn't seem to want to admit there is a problem, so looks like I am on my own for this. Maybe try and replace the camera and gimbal myself?
