please i wanna ask about hidding the gps information

when i record a video it show the gps location it cover my video

how i can remove this?

You don't need to switch off video caption. Maybe you want to view these details some other time. So leave it on.
Switch off 'Subtitles' in your video player. That will take care of it.

The data comes from the SRT (subtitle) file.
If the SRT file is present in the same folder as the video file, it will be displayed.
If there is no SRT file, no data gets displayed.
Either delete the SRT file or don't leave it in the folder where you save the video file.

Can the srt be edited to remove just the GPS data? i have not looked at the file before and dont have any at hand to check myself, just wondering if thats what the OPwas on about, keeping the other data and removing just the GPS?

Yes, an SRT file is a simple TXT file where you can easily remove both latitude and longitude. You can also remove some of the last numbers in latitude and longitude so it's not that exact anymore.

Forget to tell that there is special SRT file editore where you can change a text in one go and otherwise manipulate the time the text will be displayed, etc.

You can of course also insert a text like "Captain Bashy's bed and breakfast" for a certain period of time.
