Hello

I purchased the CS 7,85" to use it with the Inspire 2. I also have a Spark and I bought the DJI adapter for the radio control and the OTG cable, but Spark does not connect OTG to CS, wi-fi only (with the iPhone and OTG cable works perfectly).
Both Spark and CS are updated to the last firmware.

Any idea?

Maybe some differences between 7,85 and 5,5?

Hello, I use my Spark with my CS 7.85 (WiFi) and the Spark remote controller,  it works Great. You might want to get a good bracket for the Spark remote controller to hold your CS.

This is the one I use.  https://www.polarprofilters.com/products/crystalsky-mavic-mount

Crystal Sky 5.5/ DJI mount works well with my Spark via OTG. Only thing I don't like is you have to plug the OTG cable into the TX after it connects to the Spark.

So, start the remote, start the Spark, wait connection then plug the CS cable to the remote?

Exactly, OTG is first plugged to CS and then after connection between RC and AC is established, you plug in the other end of OTG to RC

On my P4 I mount the  crystal sky to the TX and turn it on. The crystal sky turns on automatically and boots up.  it is very awkward to plug the cable in with the Crystal mounted  on the DJI mount.

When I still had the Spark my 7.85 CS was connected via OTG cable to the RC before switching anything on. Then only switched on the RC and the CS automatically started as well.

When I still had the Spark my 7.85 CS was connected via OTG cable to the RC before switching anything on. Then only switched on the RC and the CS automatically started as well.

Maybe in the past.

It does not work on my Spark.
First I connect the cable on the CS (usb c) and switch on the RC.
Wait for the red led of the RC is not flashing but constant on, or a constant green led (the Spark is also on and connected).
Then I connect the otg cable on the RC.
The CS will automatic power on and goes directly to the GO4 app.

Now the big surprise :
If you power down the CS, it's restarts again!!!
You have first to power down the RC or disconnect the cable, before you can powerdown the CS.

Any Android device automatically powers up, when you connect charging cable - so no surprise for me

Not my Android Samsung A5 2016 Phone.
It is only showing the battery charging picture for a moment, it does not startup.

Does your device restart itself when it is charging and you power it down again ?
That I was talking about.

When you connect the CS and RC together in power down state.
And power up the RC (Spark controller), the CS does not startup.
Maybe it does work with your RC - Mavic Air contoller.

This is always the problem: different situations, different results.

Regards.

In fact, it is suggested to connect the Crystalsky and Spark via WiFi. Thanks for your attention.

Yes, we know.

It is not working well in Europe due to the CE norms.
We prefer here to fly with the cable.

Maybe you could release a new RC for the Spark like the Mavic Air with the normal USB connector.
Or an universal RC for the Spark and Mavic's: a little bit bigger, a CS mount and with better antenna.

Regards

I had forwarded the requirement of officially support OTG to the engineers. And the engineers are also aware of this. If it is confirmed fully supported, we will let you know. Thank you very much for your understanding.
