On my spark i can't even take off in my back garden ....for me its worse ...i downgraded to 4.1.18, the OTG works fine im gonna do more tests
4.1.18 is worst. Use 4.1.15 or 4.2.12 . Both these support OTG well .
I swear I saw it yesterday but now that I have downloaded it I see it is .16... in the device info... has this been removed from Google Play? Or is it labelled incorrectly? Or was I blind ?
Strange. I upgraded yesterday to 4.2.20(597) and then, just a couple of hours later, there was a new version available again. I upgraded again and now I got 4.2.20(600).
Haven't tested it out yet.

Could share the APK? I can't wait for the update. I wanted to try it out.

Mine did the same. Thought I was going mad with an update to 4.2.20, then the next day it updated again to 4.2.20!!
My first experience on 4.2.20(600) Android are.....not that good. First flight with mySpark ; very laggy video (on wifi). Never had lag before on previous versions, all other hardware i used the same.
Hope next time it will be better, plus flying my MA as well.
Received the 4.2.20 update today- haven't flown it yet. However it does actually open up and run now. I updated to Android P when DP2 dropped and at that point DJI Go started to fail completely, never making it passed the initial splash screen. Will test when I get home today weather permitting hopefully it actually works.
I updated and flew today with my android phone.
- Being 20 meters away at 2.4GHz: failures continuously ('No Signal') several times.
- At 5.8GHz it failed once when I activated Return Home when it was 50 feet away.
This version is not trustworthy for me ...

Test fly yesterday and the app. crash, I was able to bring the bird back manually.
So I have given this a try, after a fresh install (so I completely removed the old version, deleted all DJI folders and also formatted the SD card in the AC).
First flight was pretty OK, video feed lag was as before (so not too bad) at a distance of 50 meters. I tried return to home which found my backpack in the middle of the field and precisely landed on it - wow.
I had a strange issue then with Active Track, after 10 meters to the left and also to the right it gives me an error message: ActiveTrack Flight Stopped__Aircraft Entering Restricted Area. I have never had restricted area errors in my neighourhood before, though there is an airport area boundary set by DJI around 3-4 kilometers away.
Then I changed batteries and troubles started (maybe it is because of the new battery? This is my second flight with it and both were horrible - last time I was still on 2.14.)
The video feed lag was very bad, the picture was breaking up all the time regardless the distance and/or the position of the antennae. Also I got a lot of black and green screens so basically it was useless to fly.
Also I got a few error messages mid flight saying that connection was lost however the flight logs are not showing this at all and despite the message I was able to control the drone...so maybe the issue is only with the video feed (OTG is yet to be tried, I have one but never tried it).
And as an added bonus, the app did not save ANY of the video feeds - not even the OK one - even though there was plenty of free space on my mobile.
Here is an example from the last week and today reception was even worse (with this video I made an error as I was close to a transformator), even though now I was in an open field in the middle of nowhere.
VERY UNHAPPY
Cheers
Ps.: almost forgot - the RTH button on my RC is dead (though I have not tried it before, I have alway used the app button), not sure if related to this upgrade...
I updated to 4.2.20 and now my video has completely fails every time I lift off. I get the aircraft disconnected error even if on the ground I am connected. This occurs if I am 5 feet or 20 feet away from the drone.
I still have RC control and GPS lock so it looks like it is a software / firmware update issue.
Several times I had full on disconnects when the drone is in the air. At least the drone came down to 5 feet so that I could grab it and get control of it. I did have an auto RTH issue due to the full lose of control. It did not raising to the 60 m and almost crashed into a hill. I was lucky and was able to reconnect to the drone just before it crashed and I was able to cancel RTH and get manual control of it. Very scary.
I had an issue today when I updated the drone firmware and then un-installed / re-installed the android software. Once I took off, the video started to look like it was a scramble TV show from the 80s as well as being very laggy. After that occurred, I got an error with the Aircraft Disconnected. I still had RC control and was able to safely land.
I called DJI and they opened a case since this was "the first time they had heard of the issue". They wanted me to send the drone in which made no sense since it is obviously a software issue based on the above comments.
I am going to ground my drone until I see a software and firmware update. I don't need to lose such an expensive item.

Thank you for this report! Exactly the same thing happened to me, with a Mavic Pro with latest fw and a Nexus 6p phone, also on latest android update. The 2.2.20 makes the done completely unusable, so I downgraded to 2.2.16 and it improved a bit, then to 2.2.12 which initially seemed fine, but then I lost connection multiple times after a battery change. 2.2.12 needs further testing for me, but 2.2.20 is definitively BROKEN.
