Hello!

I have a HDMI Output module installed in my old Phantom 4. I just bought a 4 pro V2.0.
I wonder if the old HDMI Output module works with the new Phantom.

Thanks,
Remus

Did you get that confirmed from the engineers?
That compatibility list is from before anyone even thought of the P4P v2.0 and DJI is not famous for updating the information provided around their pages.

I fully understand that this information is very important to you. However, we do not have any information yet if there will be an update or will release a new one for Phantom 4 Pro v2.0. But no worries, we will forward this information to our engineers to confirm if there will be one.

So DJI Wanda,  can you just clarify that if I have a Phantom 4 Pro v2 without the HDMI module fitted as standard, I can't fit one retrospectively?

I find it absolutely absurd that DJI would do this to us. Not providing HDMI capability as they did on phantom 4 pro is a direct intent to remove available options for consumer and force them to buy DJI goggles instead.

Many of us have multiple drones and use fatshark goggles (or whatever else) and use HDMI port upgrade on P3 line and P4 line. For P4 v2 not to include an HDMI out is flat out crazy. It should not matter if it is Lightbridge or Occusync. A video out is a video out.

Video out could be found on 1950s televisions, virtually every single piece of electronics have video out capability and DJI drones themselves have provided that capability. And now all of a sudden V2 model does not have it? Come on....

Someone at work crashed work drone and after procurement took its sweet time we finally got a replacement drone. They got us V2.0 Now we have fatsharks at work that we can't do anything with.... that we have been using for years on P3 and P4.

Come on DJI... what is this absurdity....

I went on the DJI Store website and ordered one.  It was listed as an accessory for the P4P V2 but when it came in it was the standard part 54 for the P3.  Even the Customer service reps found it odd that it is listed as compatible with Phantom 4 series drones.  It says NOTHING about not being compatible with the V2.  I wish I had visited this forum sooner now I'm stuck with having to pay for return shipping.  Any ideas how to get a HDMI signal out of the system without buying the goggles?  One Tech I chatted with said I could bind another RC with the HDMI module to it in order to get the signal output.  GOOD LUCK

The reason the old HDMI module does not work is because the newer V2 uses Occusync, a completely different method of transmitting the video signal. It will require a new design board to work with the V2, and will not be a software patch. It might be possible to use a Shield pad to provide a HDMI output.

I imagine that someday we will see an OcuSync receiver that can output HDMI.... but yes, suddenly finding that there was no HDMI out on the "Pro" model was a disappointment and one I hope is corrected soon.

Aloha Remus,

The CrystalSky has a 1080p HDMI out Port.  The old P4 HDMI module only put out 720p.  Even the 5.5 inch CrystalSky puts out 1080p.

No. It requires a special board to be provided that can convert the signal as received from the aircraft into a HDMI output.

Gee,
I just read on the DJI site that the V2 + version transmitter has the HDMI OUT

TX Model GL300K

The Standard V2 TX is  GL300L      I am waiting for a call back as to if there are replacement Modules available for the GL300K, and if that module is compatible with the GL300L......crossing my fingers!!

Yes, the Mavic 2 Pro Smart Controller has HDMI out as well, so maybe it will become standard on the newer models from now on.

No one seems to be able to answer my question as to if the Plus module can work on the standard RC.

I asked the local dealer, and they said they can't get the part........

Ok guys and gals..... got a work around

https://www.amazon.com/gp/produc ... 0?ie=UTF8&psc=1     HDMI Dongle

I also have the Freeworld 2200 nit 7" Monitor   https://www.amazon.com/gp/produc ... 0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Readup on this!!   I got 2 high capacity batteries as well and this Powerbank  https://www.amazon.com/gp/produc ... 0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

In direct sunlight, you can see this monitor clearly and sitting on a tripod is absolutely brilliant!!

What you are doing is CASTING your screen to the DONGLE and it HDMI feeds at 1080P to your monitor.....Crystal Sky 7.85" is $1000.......
