I have a new Osmo Mobile 2 out of the box.
Charged. iPhone X mounted and balanced.
Whenever I power on the gimbal or try to re-center it starts tossing and turning around until it stops and flashes yellow.

Can it be reset in some way? Does it need to be replaced?

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience that it cause, may I know if we manage to balance the phone well and please ensure that we are not using a phone case when it's installed to the Osmo mobile 2, Please see the video below.

It does seem by your description that its out of balance.

It looks like your phone is pointed face down before you start it up. It should be balanced with the screen facing you like your ready to start recording.

Mine is happening the same after the last update.

Sorry to off topic but I cannot start a new thread. I am registered and activated but prohibited from starting a new thread. Can somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong

mine also does the same, what i usually do is restart it again and hope it works.

This needs to be replaced as it should not be doing what your video is showing.

Having the same issue...has this been resolved? I've had mine for 2 months with no issue then all of a sudden the same thing started happening. It won't power on and stabilize. Made sure everything is balanced.

I don't know where I can write this, my osmo pocket 2 camera gets crazy to. When I turned it one gimbal camera start rolling around likes crazy. I need turn it off and on few times. I use it just two week's.
I plan to make review on my new YouTube channel.

My DJI Osmo Pocket 2 is behaving the same. It doesn't do it every time, but on some of the times that I open it, it happens. If I won't close is it seems like it will break from the speed of the rotations. Any solution for that? seems like a firmware issue. I don'y know why DJI never addressed this issue. My device is perfect, but keeps doing this crazy "dance" from time to time..

I took mine to the store and got it replaced with no hesitation.
The replacement device have been fully functionable.
