So after watching Woe with his Goggles i decided to give it a go with litchi and my cheap goggles and it was great. It was like I was up there flying. What a great feeling. My kids jioned in and had a turn as well. The only thing is sometimes you lose orinatation but with more practice should get better.

A quick question, Has anyone else noticed that with Litchi the range is quite poor as compared to the Dji App. I normally drop one bar on the Go4 app around 1,5 km when flying at home but with Litchi same route and dropped to 41% had to use the range extenders just to keep it at 75%, normally i am at over 3.5 km with Dji app when I go to 3 bars. Does Dji have an app that I can buy for the iphone that does VR and waypoints as well, ground control is only for ipad and not wanting to invest in that now.

is it safe to use though? how stable

Signal strength should be the same for a given distance regardless of whether you are using DJIGO4 or Litchi. You should keep in mind that it's your RC there are "talking" with the drone and neither DJIGO4 or Litchi.

The more switched on electronics you have near your RC (phones, GPS MP3 player etc. etc. ) , the more unwanted radio radiation (RFI) you also get to destroy the radio commutation between RC and your drone. You should keep that in mind.

Brought Pro back closed Litchi and opened Go4 and flew the same route and got 3.7 km with signal bars drop to 3 bars with litchi the signal drop was around 1.5km  to 41% on Rc and Video signal which is very disturbing. I also noticed the same signal drop when on holiday and using Litchi while trying to fly to do a POI, had to hit RTH as signal was so poor, changed then again to Go4 and Signal was amazing did the POI with Go4 with out even dropping a Bar

It sounds strange as I fly many missions with my Mavic Pro and Litchi and have never noticed anything. I have to say that I never fly VLOS because it not allow according to my country's rules.
