Hi there,

My son tried to download the app and fly the drone off of his phone yesterday while I was away.  He said that in the process he attempted to update the controller using the app on his phone.  He couldn’t get it to work, and now it won’t work on MY phone.  It’s not recognizing the drone.  Any advice?  I’d never updated anything, because it’s always worked and I’d heard horror stories about updates not working.  I don’t even know where to start.  He says he never messed with the drone, only the controller.  The controller makes a constant beeping noise when I turn it on and doesn’t recognize the drone as mentioned.  The screen is black.

Well, first I might ask  which drone?  Also, which app as there are two, the DJI Go and DJI Go 4?  Also, which platform are you using, IPhone or Android?  Make sure the device you are trying to use is in the approved list as found here:  http://phantomhelp.com/tips/best ... go-updated-daily.18

It almost sounds as if the versions between his phone and the drone might not be the same, The constant beeping might be due to the file is corrupt.  Look at this link, https://forum.dji.com/thread-37858-1-1.html, and look for the video from DJI Ken.  This might help.
