Manual says 1.5m but in my case it is just 0.3m. Are there any settings in the app? Or is it simply broken?

It was 0,8 to 1m for me. Since I disabled VPS, this is now 0,3m.

Yes, I think taking VPS out limits the height as mine also did the same when disabling it...

Thanks for the hint but it did not work for me. Same situation w/ and w/o VPS.
Video below. - It also shows partly a negative altitude (-0.4m)

What do you think about the "hard" auto landing?

I always use the auto-take off feature , it will hover at around 4 ft from the ground .   No issues with it so far ..

Thats clearly not right. Mine goes to the correct height and lands nice and soft.
Send it back before you crash and wreck it totally.

Seems that is broken. DJI support is working on it. Expect a replacment.

I wouldn't fly with your gimbal lock on!!  That will really mess it up.  With each movement the gimbal will be pushing against the plastic... OUCH!
BTW; I also have found long grass confusses it.  I manually land and take off on grass.  Is it the same from firm ground?

OUCHHH!!!!! YOU ARE FLYING WITH THE GIMBAL LOCK! THAT MUST HURT!

Have you calibrated the IMU? I would try that first.

I'm aware of the Gimbal lock. - This was just an exception and not on purpose.

DJI has confirmed it is broken. - I was not even able  to export the log files. It will be replaced.
