Thanks. There are quite a few fire towers in Minnesota but many of them are located on State Parks so therefore OFF LIMITS to drones. But I'm lucky this one is only 30 minutes away and NOT a MN State Park. It was a lot of fun starting the drone from that high up, and then maxing it out at 400 ft. For sure the highest I've ever flown over a town before. I want to go back and take overhead photos of the entire town then stitch them together in MS ICE. It'd be a fun project.

Minnesota doesn't allow flying in State parks?  Boo - Hiss !  Another reason to not go to Minnesota I guess.

I tried stitching city pictures before but at only 400 ft they do NOT stitch together very well. Too many different angles from different pictures. I think you really need to be high up to do it right.

don't forget pano mode on the Air.  It will take the photos and stitch them together for you!

True, but I want to fly over the whole area and take phots straight down. Kind of creating a map of the town. Pano would just turn and move the gimbal so the edges would be distorted.

true.  an arial would be pretty cool.  may have to try that as well

4 Mavic Air batteries and only 1 Spark battery. In hindsite I shot way to much footage, and this video is too long.
