Maybe clutter has accumulated in devices the digital files that drain cpu resources? Overwhelm memory availability? Maybe cabling junctions have suffered from wear tear?  Maybe phone needs cache clearing?

You know, I really take issue with this.  For such an awesome product, it's difficult to understand why DJI has let the app fall into such disrepair.  

In a way, i'm lucky that I had to go through my crash and subsequent repair.  I am now flying a bird with the .0300 FW and running the app at 4.2.12.  It's a shame that this is what it takes to fly happy.

You are lucky rma'd fw300drone which can lower to 200 matched with 200rc version. Ive tried the older apk 4.2.x trying to determine best soft versions for devices. Connection drops still remain close radii owing to metro congest fouling rc capability meant for non metro interfere

And i'm still rocking the .0300 FW and running the 4.2.12 version of the app.

Still flying steady as a rock.  i just refuse to update the app or the firmware.  Until I either have an issue with my bird, or i see what seems to be a build without issue.

Yes, agree, 200fw on both device is ok, but 300drone & 200rc works too. 300drone improves on prior glitches but 400drone locks downgrade fw.
Eventually fatigue tires discrete workhorses in pumping signal wifi. Elex fatigue results. Distance suffers. You'll discover the wearing unless discrete parts are miraculously un-fatigueable

Ok - I fixed it completely. Had video lag and green screens and total loss of control with my Mavic Air 1 and iPhone 7Plus. Did a factory restore on my Drone dedicated 7Plus and just loaded the DJI Go4 app and it works perfectly now in Europe with 5.8Ghz
