Yes, I watched the video on the six o’clock news this evening, of them finding him, recorded through the drones view. Pretty sweet.

I have seen this also. It is such a great shame that it does not get further acclamation and publicity, but then again good news about saving a trapped person with a drone is not as dramatic as one hurting a member of the public. Sad world we live in.

Great use of technology and drones. Glad he was able to be rescued.

There is currently a DRONEUP SAR Mission going on in the desert NE of San Bernardino in Riverside County, CA.

Search and Recovery......they found the Husband's body a few days ago.....but have yet to find the wife.  They are using Hangar 360 laying out a grid with Identifiers, then sending various grids to drone pilots
who then scour the images.  If anything appears needing to be looked at by other eyes, the reviewer ID's the spot with a 1 thru 5 rating......1 being GO LOOK with another Drone fly over, and 5 just gets another set of eyes on the images.  They have about 10 drones, and have covered many square miles....with many more to go.

They had been out on a trip for 2 weeks.....so no one knows exactly how long they were out there before family notified the authorities.
