Is there anyone out there who has updated his Tab S3 to Android 8.0?
I'm wondering how it behaves with the Go4 app. So far I'm reluctant to update...

Yes - 8.0 Oreo.
It's been rolled out to more and more devices.
I have some issues with my Tab S3 on 7.0 but everything might get worse with 8.0.

I only have 1 flight on my Tab S3 with 8.0 Oreo so far but it worked without any problems.

I keep an eye on that thread. I'm not too optimistic though.
I've posted about this last September. That's when the first Pixel Phones received Oreo.

I was anxious to try it only to find out that the app kept crashing on Android 8:

I am running 8 Oreo on Samsung S8+ works everytime

Damn,.... I have just looked, it looks like the coders that modify the custom roms prefer to  go up and not down, theres custom roms for android 7 and 8 (well before 8 came out) but none for android 6, my bad, i didnt realise they dont  bother with  earlier versions, they stop at the version it came with, thats what i have just found  and what it looks like

Get your official roms from https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-s3/SM-T820/
But you will need to root the device and put on sommat like TWRP then you will be able to put on rom, many tutorials on the web and its fairly straight forward as long as you follow them, also see youtube, also not, you can follow a tutorial for putting 8 on but you can use the 7 rom. I wont advise as to how to do it because i have to follow tutorials and if i advise wrongly or sommat happens (can brick it if ya go wrong) i really dont want the blame for that ;)
