what is the max limit for storage inside the phantom 4 pro? 64gb or can it handle upto 128gb?

The maximum is the largest amount of work you are prepared to lose on one flight.

The Samsung 128 card listed above is out of stock, the EVO 128 will not work with 4k files as it has too slow a write speed

I am currently using:

SanDisk Extreme microSDXC Memory Card Plus SD Adapter with A1 App Performance Up to 100MB/s, 128 GB, Class 10, U3, V3

Currently £53 on that well known South American rain forrest website.
Works with all 4k video options and all pictures modes.

You may want to consider buying several 32GB cards instead of one or two 128.
I made it a habit to exchange SD cards after each flight. For this even 16GB might do it, not quite sure.
If you lose your drone for good you'll lose all videos. Better minimize the loss.

Good point, however I do copy all of my files off the card after each session.
I suppose it depends what you are filming and whether or not its life or death.

I have a few GoPro's, DLSR and I am on my second Phantom, but I have never had a memory card fail, always buy branded and avoid copies.

I go out for the day, film, come home, memory card out of the drone, into a small adapter, into the PC and copy onto my computer, the advantage of 128gb, is that the capacity is large enough for a few days filming if required.

Yes the memory card could fail, the drone might crash, the battery might fail, its all relative I suspect to what you do, mine is just for messing around.

I'm looking for some battery driven device to plug the card in so it get's automatically copied to a harddrive.
That thing would obviously need to be able to give the folders specific numbers so nothing gets overwritten.

I don't want to carry a laptop with me in order to do so.

It does not sound like you really got the point Eric mentioned, what if for any reason, you loose your drone? - several days shooting gone.
That is why it is advised to buy more smaller cards and swap with battery change, then most that could be lost would be the current flight.

Your local photo store have what you look for but they are not cheap.
Look at this article half way down at "Portable backup device".
Guess it would be easy to make something up with ex. RaspberryPI and some add-on's.

If you would dare using one with harddisk, you can make further savings by going after a model with lesser space (or no drive) and then take out the disk from one of the 1½-2TB USB HD's Aldi often sell very cheap. A solid state disk would be the safe choice though.

64 Gb u3 -V90  is the answer..??
