Hi iv bought a p4p second hand when I take of its not hovering at 4 foot its going about 12 and hovering is this right as I cant find and settings to adjust .Thanks

yes its the latest firmware thanks

Use your left joystick to adjust.
If you don't like what auto-take-off does, you can always launch it yourself to whatever height suits you.

Did you check "precision takeoff" by chance? That would cause it to launch to 19.9 feet so it can image the ground below for matching up it's landing position.

Well there's your cause. Leaving that unchecked, the craft will only rise to about 4 feet.

Or, you could so CSC takeoff, which is what I always do now and have full control over the takeoff process.
